Designing a logo is one of the biggest challenges that a creative director or designer will confront in their career. It’s the smallest story you will ever tell. The hope is that everyone will see the same story, and as clearly as you did in creating it. An integral part of the rebrand of USA Today was that we were given the opportunity to create a new logo (or 4) everyday. My career has been fortunate enough to learn from some of the best in the industry about this process, including Michael Bierut, Woody Pirtle, and my acclaimed teacher Rob Lawton.
